Hunt in the vicinity of one of Sweden’s mightiest high mountain regions and gaze upon Sweden’s highest peak, Kebnekaise, in the distance. From our base in Nikkaluokta, you’re close to vast expanses and extensive hunting grounds.

Nikkaluokta is located about 60 kilometers west of Kiruna town. If you’re drawn to the western high mountain region, this is the base to use. From here, you can also fly to other directions, to popular hunting grounds such as Rautas, Leavas, and Girjas. The latter areas are especially suitable for ptarmigan hunting due to their wider mountain valleys and excellent habitats. The western part of the mountains, such as Vistasdalen, has narrower valleys and areas with abundant birch forests. These areas can still offer good hunting during years when bird populations are lower.

Some of the areas mentioned above lie outside the land where the state grants hunting and fishing rights. Hunting permits for these areas must therefore be obtained through the relevant Sami village.

In Nikkaluokta, you’ll find apartments and cabins just a stone’s throw from Kallax Flyg’s base. There is also a good-quality restaurant and a shop offering some essentials and a limited selection of outdoor gear.
