Helicopter Maintenance Workshop

Kallax Flyg holds its own aircraft maintenance approval in accordance with the EU Commission Regulation No. 1321/2014 Part-145. Approval number SE.145.0030.

We perform maintenance on our helicopters ourselves with our own technicians to minimize downtime and maximize availability. We can also receive external customers’ helicopters, airplanes, or components.

We carry out scheduled maintenance at the following locations:

Piteå-Långnäs
Our company base is located at Piteå-Långnäs airport, where we have access to large and spacious facilities, a seaplane harbor with retrieval ramp, and an airfield.

• Base maintenance, mainly larger inspections, repairs, and component work

• Line maintenance, ongoing minor maintenance on all helicopters.

Kiruna, Kurravaara
Our satellite base in Kiruna is located in Kurravaara, where we have access to a fine workshop facility as well as a seaplane harbor with retrieval ramp.

For line maintenance at locations other than our bases, we have a fully equipped and approved service bus. It is certified according to EASA Part-145 for this purpose.

Kallax Flyg AB has its own Airworthiness Department (CAMO) authorized under the EU Commission Regulation No. 1321/2014 Part-M. Approval number SE.MG.0030.

This department monitors and renews the airworthiness of our helicopters. The organization can also assist external customers with their airworthiness requirements.

SAFRAN Helicopter Engines
Kallax Flyg AB has a “service by the hour” agreement with SAFRAN Helicopter Engines. This means we receive spare parts and components for our turbine engines within 24 hours.

Airbus Helicopters
Kallax Flyg AB holds a contract with Airbus Helicopters, which allows us to order spare parts and components directly from Airbus Helicopters, without intermediaries.

Robinson Helicopter Company
Kallax Flyg AB is a Robinson Helicopter Company R44 Service Center. This means we have direct contact with the manufacturer for everything from spare parts to technical support. We can perform up to 12-year inspections and 2200-hour overhauls on R44 helicopters, both our own and external aircraft. We can also distribute spare parts.
