We take part in making green energy from the north more accessible! When constructing new power lines, helicopters provide a highly efficient solution. We lift and install poles, and place crossarms using our proprietary crossarm installation tool.
Our power line construction fleet also includes a crane truck and ground crew to meet all on-site needs.
One of our most common services for energy companies is preventive power line inspections, covering the full range from 20 kV to 400 kV lines. We also assist with troubleshooting after major outages and storms.
When needed, we clear power line corridors using both vertical and horizontal saws, as well as timber grapples (so-called ”heli hawks”). During winter, we perform de-icing operations using poles to remove ice and snow from the power lines.
Prior to the construction of new power lines, we conduct terrain mapping using ground scanning. This data provides planners with a better overview for decision-making and helps optimize both logistics and material usage throughout the project.
