Kurravaara is located about 8 kilometers outside Kiruna town. From this base, flights primarily head to the northern mountain region. Areas K1, K2, K4, and K7 offer excellent habitats for ptarmigan and are well suited for hunters who are not yet very familiar with the terrain.
Especially area K7 features vast stretches of land with marshes and knee-high shrubs, making the hunting experience pleasant — just as it should be when hunting in the mountains. The areas closest to Kurravaara are largely forested, with occasional mountain peaks rising above the trees.
